Pros
With the app but not the website, simple photo editing can be done to make a unique & creative picture.
Cons
The downside of this app & of Fotobabble is that you can only use one picture at a time. I would like to have students upload or select multiple photos to create more of a story &/or timeline.
Students need a to create an account, which most elementary students do not have an email address. Multiple students can be logged in to a teacher created account.
Classroom Ideas,
Students use a picture from a news article & summarize the news story.
Have students practice speaking stills or fluency in reading.
Use images & narration to illustrate vocabulary & create a visual classroom dictionary.
Sharing pictures from a field trip.
Using pictures from a landmark, students can record facts about those places & place the links or embed code in Google Maps.
Here is a classroom idea to try using QR codes,
Book Report Project - After students read a book, they fill out a book report sheet in which they write a summary & a recommendation for their book. Once they have it approved by the teacher, the students upload the cover of the book into Fotobabble & record their report. The students then create a QR code in GOQR.ME to share with others.
Adding QR codes to pages of a book, students can scan the codes & listen to the story being read to them.
Create QR codes from Fotobabbles to create an interactive word wall.
Allow students to add a voice to their pictures & create a video they can share. Have students share stories with old photos, create a time capsule or timeline, explain a math problem, make an animal report, & more.

Snap or select a photo, add a mouth, record your message, & play it back. There is an option to change the voice pitch, add more than one scene, & kids protected web photo search. The total recording time is 30 seconds altogether, but export to your Camera Roll & input it to iMovie to stitch the different scenes together. Our teachers use this app to share information about a person they researched. (iPhone - free)
